A personal project I conducted during January of 2023, where I developed a vacation booking app for easy planning and the push of a button, to be used everywhere, even on the go.

Finding the time to sit down and plan a vacation can be both challenging and stressfull. There are countless decisions to make, and a countless others to consider. Knowing where to look can be confusing and hard, especially when tryign to make the puzzles of everyday life to fit. Making space to sit down and plan everything take time and energy you need for work and free time.
A digital platform that is easily accessible while on the road or during lunch breaks that allows you to easily pick and choose where and when your vacation will take place.
Design thinking is something that I always like to use when creating any UX related project. It has a great way of structuring each project with the user centered focus at the forefront of it all.
To better understand the needs for this design, I conducted a handful of interviews. Doing this allowed me to get a quick overview of what their needs and pain points where, and what they felt would be useful for booking vacations.
Design For this project, the personas created were of a young person, between the ages of 25 - 35, who were busy with their everyday life and work, and simply didn't have time to go on every website and compare every flight. The personas wanted a digital solution that allowed them to simply open up their profile, see their upcoming trips, and be able to book more, all in one place.
To be certain not to miss any important features, I created a user flow for the app, to get a better overview of what the app would require. This helped me with the overall design, and to not stray further than necessary.
To quickly create a overview of the original idea formed in my mind, I created LoFi paper scetches of each page I wanted to design, and then transfered these scetches into more HiFi digital wireframes. The digital wireframes also underwent further iterations, so they would fit within the confinds of a digital platform better.
I ended up creating a HiFi prototype in Figma, that I also conducted user tests with the personas with. This to ensure that the finished product worked the way it should, and that all the features requested were working.
